Have mickey and sophia ready to go on my phone (she prefers watching on my phone so she can hold it)... she also loves hitting the home button and entering my password incorrectly. Nothing like having your phone locked for 15 minutes at a tiem.
So I'm having a boy. I would have been super happy with a girl but this will save a lot of anxiety in about 12-17 years.
So sorry for your loss osuagr you and your family are in my thoughts. We leave for Hawaii tomorrow with our son....downloading Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right now. Good idea. It's a 5 hour flight though. My little guy has been on several flights already and loves planes but that is a long time for him. It has typically been regional 1 or 2 hour flights.
anybody dealt with weird discharges from their kids eyes? like eye boogers but super excessive to where we're cleaning his eyes every 15 minutes
Yeah, this week. Pink eye! Call and get an appointment for your kid tomorrow. They'll give you either drops or an ointment to treat it.
We did the same on Sunday night. Our little guy was up 3 hours past his normal bedtime and struggled a little bit sleeping during the night. I knew we made the right call though when he woke up and could only open one eye. He was smiling so it couldn't have felt too bad but it was painful to see. I was very glad to know he was already receiving medicine and that was the worst of it. I should mention, there are multiple types of pink eye (bacterial, viral, allergies). They do get treated differently. We got an ointment to treat bacterial.
My wife is taking the boy to the grandparents' place tomorrow. They won't be back until Wednesday. Two months ago, this would have been welcome relief. Now I'm just going sit around the house and wait for him to get back. Damn you, father/son bond.
Did any of you have trouble with names? We can't decide on one. We aren't fighting over them or anything, just everything we land on just hasn't quite stuck. Any advice?
So update to this incident. The wife never cusses, ever. One of the many things that surprises me that she actually married me, is I cuss like a sailor. So, the FIL is in town for the 4th. Really good dude, we get along fine. Wife, FIL, me, and mini-me are all outside playing, he falls down, gets up, wipes his hands, says :"god damn it". Without hesitation FIL says: "your mother taught you that didn't she"
We did the 3D ultrasound thing last friday. I thought it was going to be cool to see the baby again, but holy shit it was awesome. They had all of these pics up of the ultrasound next to the newborn pics. Unfortunately she looks like her dad and not her mom. cant wait to meet her this fall.
Well, I recently found out offspring number 3 is on the way. Not planned. Do not know if boy or girl yet. Currently have 2 girls so I think we all know which way I am leaning.
Any of your wives have constant leg pain while pregnant? Last 72 hours, my wifes calves and foot have had this throbbing pain. I'm sure Google would tell us if this is normal but I decided to trust a 99% male message board.
I've taken three kids into the Dr. with what I thought were three identical eye discharges: 1 - allergies, here are drops 2 - blocked tear duct, just massage it out 3 - pink eye - here is cream I'm glad I go, because it all looked like goop to me.
We have one trendy kid name, one family name, and one religious name. I'd pick which way you are leaning in terms of "type of name" first. The third was named in the hospital, fwiw.
You have a lot of time. We went back and forth for months before finally settling on one. And when we found it, it just felt right. Just try out every name you come across, see how it "feels".
We had two names until after the boy was born, went with the one he responded to as a newborn. Gas probably named him.
proud dad moment. son #2 went in for his 9 month checkup today. he is an inch taller and 2 pounds heavier than his older brother. when it came time for shots, he took 2, didnt blink an eye, no tears, and just looked at me. We then had his ISR swimming lesson today. Final week, in clothes and a regular diaper. I am confident he would survive if he fell in a pool now.
little man was very carefully planned. Just got a text from the Wife - "Mini-me was conceived 3 years ago today!!!"
Hey fellas. Had a good weekend. Spent the 4th at the Navy base with 1/2 of the twins and the 2 youngn's and the wife. Spent the 5th toting around rowdy 4 and 5 year olds for the youngest's bday party (ninja theme of course)
So how difficult is the transition from 2 kids to 3? I've heard mixed responses. We've got a 4 year old and 18 month old. We will be outnumbered in about 8 months.
#1 was alive for 12+ hours before we decided on a name. We just wanted the hospital to stop pestering us about it
son started a business this weekend !!! Kinda He is now mowing two of the neighbors lawns, I help and do the edging and also mow some. He is so happy to be earning $$$
Little tad had his first soccer practice today. It was parent assisted which was fun and much like trying to herd cats. Spoiler
If you guys wouldn't mind helping me out, please vote for my son if you have a second. He's 5 months. Thanks! http://www.thecutekid.com/photo-con...s=10155744463575307&fb_action_types=og.shares
