Co oped show with UK Chanel 4. Made by the same group that made Broadchurch and Utopia. TBH, that's all I needed to hear to watch. "Set in suburban London, the story takes place in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a Synth – a highly developed, artificially intelligent servant eerily similar to its living counterpart" Doesn't air on AMC until June 28th, but started this week in the UK. Watch the first ep via T. It was REALLY good.
Can't wait for people to start watching so we can discuss. Will suck being two eps ahead but I'm not waiting
Truman I very much enjoyed the premier. Singularity is absolutely fascinating to me and I'm very interested to see where they go with this.
I could tell the synth detective was like "wtf is this shit" when he got home and his synth was carrying his wife to bed.
That's my one minor gripe so far. No way is a company stupid enough to make their androids displays of human beauty and capable of sexual interaction outside of the sex trade industry. Can you imagine the fight between a husband and wife to decide if they were going to buy a gorgeous male or female android butler? On another note, good god if that's not the fantasy of every single man who currently has no interest in getting married. You can order a beautiful woman who will cook, clean, sex, basically serve you in every way, and ALWAYS agrees with you? Sign me the fuck up.
The husband dad hid the sex instructions in his pocket quickly when looking through options. You can program that bitch. If they want to make more money they will make a sex option. I don't see the big deal with it in this story.
Has a Utopia vibe...and that's all I need to enjoy this show. (Damn you channel 4 for canceling Utopia)
Really like it Spoiler that annita scene last night was pretty interesting. Felt way more like rape than i thought it would
Maybe we should start a Torrance thread of this show. I know all the spoilers would annoy me if I was watching on AMC
Did it not come on amc last night? Fuck cable by the way, now that I've been away from commercials for awhile I can't stand to watch a show with commercial breaks. It's so ridiculous thats what was tv for so long.
We started a UK thread. This one should be better now. Hopefully no one is a jerk and messes up this one
UncleItchyBalls wrong thread. edit that shit. Im about half way through sense 8. It's not doing it for me. :(
