I had a buffalo chicken sandwich last night (it is a burger and whiskey place) and it was delicious. Couple friends had burgers and they were raving. It was my first experience with the food and I was pleasantly surprised.
Whatever you do, don't drive after 8. Had a few beers last night and got pulled over around 1230 near Satco on my way to red door. There weren't many cars on the road and I think Vandy police pulls over anyone and everyone that gives a slight indication of drinking. Officer wasn't a jerk but he was thorough. Not that it was hard but I don't want to have to do a field sobriety test ever again.
Whichever poster said he thought it was a roll of the dice regarding heat level at Hattie B's was spot on. I always get hot, but I wasn't really in a spicy mood today and I ordered medium for dinner. I'll be damned if the medium wasn't hotter than any I've ever had from there.
Was at the game last night. Fucking awesome. Bought tickets to the game in Chicago tomorrow while at the game teetering on blackout. Looks like im driving to chicago today
Glad Brewtus and buckwild got some nice weather this afternoon. We're obviously going to require a full report once you are back home.
Went to the Sounds game yesterday. Nice little ballpark. Alabama product Kent Matthes with a 2 run double to put the Sounds on the board. Didn't know he was on the roster
Nashville summary... We all had a great time, and I'll definitely be back with the wife in tow, as she likes country music and whiskey. Thursday: buckwild and I did our own thing and hit up Hattie Bs, delicious and definitely a different way to make chicken. Went to a couple of bars near our hotel motel on Demonbruen for happy hour (Tin Roof, Dawg House). It was there we met and drank with a girl who "used to work for Playboy". Not sure if she was a model or not, but she was definitely very, very easy on the eyes. We then hit up Hops and Crafts which was great, and followed up with a different bar for each period of the Wings game; P1 = Pour House, P2 = Party Fowl, P3 = Catina Laredo. Ended the night down at Rebar near the Vandy campus. We liked that place a lot. Friday: Ate at The Row and tried their hot chicken. I preferred Hattie Bs, but it was good just gourmet'd up a bit. Again drank good beer there. I like Czann's a lot. Drank at some pub near there and went to the house which was a mansion south of town. Headed to Broadway after that and it was a good time. Handful of use then went back to the Vandy bar scene can't remember which ones we drank at. Saturday: God this day was a mess. Some of us day-drank at Two Bits and Dawg House to watch the wings. Then everyone but Buckwild, another dude who was hammered and myself stayed out and went to Hooters. That Hooters was very impressive. Then went to Morton's for a nice steak dinner where Buckwild was wearing a Natural Light shirt and we were lucky to be in a private room because there was drunken yelling. Everyone went out to Broadway again and enjoyed themselves. Thanks again for all the advice. Good times were had.
I heard he was an asshole to anyone who walked up to him at the game. Not that I can blame him, he was there to watch hockey, not meet people
Your Thursday night is a complete Nashville home run. Glad you guys got at least one night to step outside what tourists always do here.
Still haven't been to a Sounds game because they all coincide with the Preds playoff games.... Haven't had an issue selling my tickets for each game though
Grew up with billy burns gonna try and freeload some tickets off of him while I can. Going to my first game on Friday
i've been to nashville twice and had an absolute blast both times. set up a few racks at a datacenter hosting my client's equipment and it was on like 2nd and church. stayed at the courtyard downtown. so much fun stuff to do! did some printer's alley, bb king's, broadway 1st to 3rd. basically just walked around and if anything looked fun just went in.
no but I bet it is great Ember's Ski Lodge opened this week Next to 12south taproom and Mafio's.... will have a upper level patio completed in the summer... fireplace will extend all the way up. should be cool. unique menu so I'll wait and see what people say is good http://nashville.eater.com/2015/4/20/8459231/embers-ski-lodge-12-south-nashville#4724382 http://nashville.eater.com/2015/4/21/8460207/embers-ski-lodge-12-south-menus so did Double Dog's http://nashville.eater.com/2015/4/20/8458067/double-dogs-hillsboro-village-nashville
Ive been waiting on Ember's to open for a while. Always thought it was a cool concept, especially that fireplace in the winter and fall
ya, will be nice to have another "bar" type option in 12 south. I love taproom but I've wanted another option
Yeah, pretty solid beer menu for Nashville, too. Doesnt compare to taproom, but still decent. Will wait to hear about the food from others
Double Dogs was pretty sweet. There was a little Latino in there who was sooo cute There is an A's scout in front of me watching VU and he said everyone in their organization is so happy to have Nashville as their AAA city. Obviously mentioned how awesome the new stadium is

you've only been once? I'm sure it'll be great. people love it and I love Mitchell's. I've heard good things
Yeah I think it's supposed to pour on Saturday. I've been having some soreness in my calf anyway so the shitty weather might just be enough to keep me on the sideline if the forecast doesn't improve.
