Title says it all. I am cheap and don't want to keep paying Amazon prices for my books. Anyone got a site or anything?
You people and your horrible pirating ways! You make me sick. As a writer myself, knowing that you people steal from these hardworking writers makes me sad and angry. I'm sangry! If you want to know just how sangry, drop me a PM with your email address. That applies to anyone that is curious about free ebooks! Ooooo! Spoiler Seriously, drop me a PM with your email address
I've been able to download any books I've needed but does anyone have access to the walking dead compendium sets? I can't seem to find them.
Thanks bro. Glad I could help. I feel like an obscure super-hero spreading the joy of reading to the masses before shuffling into the night in my '96 Chevy Blazer.
The one with the spare tire swing arm on the back that hasn't actually had a spare tire on it in 5 years?
Looking for a book. Long Way Home by Laura Caldwell. Cant find it on the sites I belong to. I'm friends/neighbors with author, so I only slightly feel bad about getting a free e-copy. She gave me a free signed copy anyways, so whats the diff I get a free e-copy amirite? Daniel Ocean Arkie Proud like shall rain upon you.
No big deal at all. If someone fills the request, it will cost 500 points which I have plenty. If not it cost nothing. I will set up the request and let you know.
September 2010 was the publication date you lying bastard. Regardless, I can't find it. Odd, since she has a Wikipedia page and her other books in the series are out there. Also, looking for nudes of her.
I see her almost every morning. Ill see what I can do as far as pics. SHe made it seem like the book was published longer than two years ago. Maybe the story took place in 2006. Anyway what she's told me about the story is crazy. I wanted to suggest it for the book club, but wanted to read a little bit of it first before making the suggestion.
Is the full title Long Way Home: A Young Man Lost in the System and the Two Women Who found him and is this the Amazon listing? I need to know in order to make the request. If so there seems to be a kindle edition so I should be able to get the request filled. http://www.amazon.com/Long-Way-Home-Young-System/dp/1439100233
The Wettest County in the World by Matt Bondurant I cant find it on the sites I have access to (public only) :( If someone could find it, many likes and gratitude would be coming your way. Arkie Proud Daniel Ocean
Will do. Its the book that the movie Lawless was based off of. Thought the movie was meh, but a good and interesting premise. I got about 200 pages left in the book im reading now (a Jack Reacher novel), and I think Im going to try and squeeze this one in before the January book club. Will report back.
Arkie Proud The book was very underwhelming. I really wanted it to be good, but it was just boring. Your thing about good writers, and good story tellers - he was just a bad story teller. Bad transitions ect. Oh well, that cant be all good. I gave it 2 stars on goodreads. Thanks again for the hook up
Good news, everyone. I know that the book dump, while expansive, was difficult to navigate. So, I extracted just the .epub files out, put them in one folder then uploaded that to my Dropbox public folder. The link you currently have should still work (if you still have it). Instead of a bunch of smaller zipped folders, it's just a few thousand .epub files (the folder says there are 10,359 files. I trimmed out files that had the same exact name, but I suspect there are still duplicates (i.e. The Hobbit_JRRTolkien / TheHobbit-Tolkien / thehobbit_j_r_r_tolkien, etc)). So you will still have to prune through some. If you use Calibre, you can just "add books" and load them all at once (it may take a bit) then just edit the metadata individually (still a somewhat daunting task...). Calibe will also allow you to convert the .epub files to .mobi (or what ever you use). If you don't use Calibre, download Calibre and use it. If you no longer have the link, PM me or put your email in this thread.
Got this email from Dropbox earlier: This email is an automated notification from Dropbox that your Public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic. Your Dropbox will continue to function normally with the exception of Public links. This suspension is temporary (3 days for the first time). Apparently, I have reached my limit and have been suspended for three days. So, if you try to get the file between now (Sat morning) and three days from now (Tuesday morning), it won't be there. I went to the site to read about why I had been suspended and, while the reason is excessive traffic, there was a vague hint at sharing copyrighted material. That being said, I may remove the file altogether and no longer share it. If I do, I will still share ebooks via email with anyone that wants one.
Like I said in the other thread, sorry if this was me, but with what you are saying maybe it is because of the material. Either way, thanks for sharing, about how big is one book file, if it has to be done over email?
