Time to boot pinstriped glory: hasn't made a roster move since June 21, currently starting 3 players on DL, currently has Jered Weaver on DL; and Lauderdale Landshark: hasn't made a roster move since June 15, currently starting 1 DL player, has teixeira on bench, has Chris Capuano on bench.
didn't realize how far Altuve had fallen off. .187 average in the last month. Somehow he's worse than Rickie Weeks....
Yeah, I've been a piece of shit owner in this league. I'm not going to bore you with excuses; I'll set some calendar reminders to keep up with it better. If you wanna boot me then so be it.
I think I just set the single day record for HRs with seven Napoli with 2 Kubel with 3 Cespedes with 1 Beltre with 1
finally dropped rickie weeks. not worth owning at this point. had to make room for werth coming off the DL also just noticed the whole "maximum innings pitched" chart at the bottom... predicted to go over by 68 innings.
I bit on the Hanley for Tulo deal. Would have had to use a 1st rounder to keep Tulo this year anyways
I had to do something. I doubt Hanley would've been part of my long term plans. Watch him recapture his old form now. Ha.
Yeah I don't plan on keeping Hanley either..but if he gets hot he could push me to a title and end W2D's reign of terror. Assuming Tulo comes back at some point, he's not a bad keeper option (even in the 1st round), but I had already figured that I couldn't keep him
Still a little unsure about when you can tell what round you'll have to keep someone in... gonna play that one by ear. I'm guessing Braun would be 1st round obviously. No clue on Buster, Strass or anyone else. Don't really see myself keeping anyone besides those three besides maybe Wright (if he's not 2nd round) and Middlebrooks (if he's a late rounder)
if you plan on keeping a guy and it will be your first time designating him as a keeper, you lose the round you picked him in last year (so I guess check the draft results to see what Trofie did) if it is a guy who has been designated as a keeper before you use the average draft position and I think it's the ADP from drafts that happened this past spring. This is the part that confuses me
that Braun was in the pool of players available for the draft is crazy if he was picked in the first round of the draft, like I think he was, then you don't have a first round pick next draft assuming you want to keep him. I'd be more than happy to lose a first round pick for Braun though
whew. ok well that one is easy. prob wasn't 1st round keeper this past year if yall drafted before he was cleared of 50 game suspension. (avergaed 2nd round / 14.9 pick in the spring) ADP from prior spring is a little confusing though. if you can, clear this up for me. 12 team league so 1-12 ADP would be 1st round keepers. if you have say Wright that was drafted in the 2nd round, and Braun drafted in the 1st round, neither prior keepers. Does that mean I have to choose between the two since Wright = 2nd round - 1 = 1st round? also if the ADP is 12.4 or 12.8, do you use rounding to decide whether that person qualifies as a #12 ADP = 1st round keeper for following year = 12.4 but 12.8 would be 2nd round keeper rounded up? anyone with a firm answer feel free
If you keep a guy with a "k" next to his name, you lose the pick according to his adp last year. If you keep a guy without a "k" next to his name, you lose the pick for the round where he was drafted last year. If you keep a guy you picked up from the waiver wire, he's your last round pick. For instance, I'm keeping Matt Kemp this year, who I kept last year. His adp from last year was round one, so Kemp will be my first round pick next year. If I keep Beltran, he'd be my 7th round pick next year. If I keep Colby Rasmus, he'd be my last round pick.
Also I'm assuming this can work both ways with moving up and down rounds from the previous year's keeper round? Posey was kept in the 3rd round this past year. ADP from spring was 70.2. so he would get bumped back a couple rounds if I chose to keep him again this year, correct?
I honestly can't remember how we did it. My opinion would be that even 12.9 is the 12th pick, and therefore a first rounder. Purely an opinion though.
ok. I guess I should wait until someone with a firm definitive answer can tell me for sure about rounding. one last question: Posey ADP - 70.2 Gordon ADP - 71.9 both are Ks from last year. How does it work if I wanted to keep both of them, since they both fall in the 6th round? One bumps back to 7th round or one bumps up to 5th round or two picks in 6th round
pretty embarrassed I let the whole Angels hype deter me from having Moore in the lineup. Thought he'd be prone to walk the Trout/Pujols/Trumbo group stellar outing from him and he's on the bench...and not because I neglected to set my roster. Would make a horrible officer in the military I would
don't give a fuck about his name, I'm about to drop Lester in this league. Guy fucking sucks and is wasting innings. And I doubt I could even cook up a reasonable trade for him given how fucking terrible he is... CJ wilson is next. can find lots of substitutes on the wire that can give me a k/inning without a 5+era and 1.4+ whip. and at least manage to get ONE win in a month. fuck the haters. Lester is dead to me
needed Bumgarner to go Bumgarnering just to lower my ERA to 9.82 for the day thanks to Buehrle and Ross fuck you, Ron Washington
sad i had to deal Harper but being basically locked in my spot in ERA & WHIP i felt like i had to do something to try to make up the ground in the offensive categories.
hell of a stat line from my bats last night 12r 5hr 12rbi 3sb .531 / 1.737 good for 4 points, even with my pitching line being the polar opposite
