Pretty sure they live below an L train track, not an overpass. Besides, the debris that fell buried itself in the ground. A car falling 20 feet couldn't do that. One of the first things they teach in speech class is to know who your audience is and to tailor your speech for them. I doubt the guidelines for other areas of entertainment are much different.
Truly surprised after Sheila walked inside that Frank didn't lay out on the sidewalk and fake the injury. I mean that would have been a no-brainer for him, no?
A truck wouldn't work, because assuming it was a roadway above, it would probably make her move. A plane on the other hand can get you anywhere.
Frank's pure joy of Fiona being like him and hiding out from someone was awesome. Kinda surprised Lip didn't nail the 14 year old, he just fucked a 15ish year old right before that.
Great episode. Hate to see Lip's spiral continue. The actress that plays Debbie is one of the best child actresses out there. She deserves more credit.
Lip :/ He's not in a good place at all right now. And agree completely on Debbie, she kills it every episode.
I like to see Lip being challenged like this. He is smart as fuck but far from having his shit together. I am interested to see how he makes it through this.
Not reading anything because I'm currently watching, but loved the Osama Bin Laden reference.. Fuckin America
yet another strong episode. when V handcuffed Kevin to the bench I was when she got the trimmers i almost cried.
Great episode.. Love the way the Lip story line is playing out.. Interested to see what happens with Fionna and Steve
Haven't had a good Fiona sex scene in a little while. I also was hoping Kevin would be able to read the post-it notes on Veronica's tits.
I have been watching the original Shameless on Netflix. Through the first 4 or 5 episodes it seems to pretty much mirror the Showtime version. I looked ahead to other episodes and it looks like it will be varying a little. Either way, I would like to fuck the original Karen as well. She isn't super hot but the mix of her accent and being a dirty whore is appealing. Spoiler she actually likes Frank and fucks him multiple times in the original
Really loved this last episode. I realized how much they have managed to make you care about the various characters. I would like to see more Lip and Fiona scenes, they don't seem to pair them up too often.
Grandma had me rolling. Steve's Brazilian girl was just on another level even with the current talent already on the show. You can tell Lip is hurt more on Karen not willing to let him be the involved Father(doesn't want to be like Frank) and that has led to his breakdown the last few episodes
never really been "that guy" when it comes to shows i watch but one thing got to me with shameless why not just let sheila keep making progress with her out of the house life? i mean first the whole landing gear falling a foot in front of her was a little too "lost" for me but if you're doing that for frank's character while knowing that two eps later she's gonna kick him out, why not just have her dump him cuz of his negativity towards her progress or some shit?
I agree with you, but I feel like her character needs to remain batshit crazy so that was the path the writers chose to continue that development...probably could have come up with a more believable path though.
she could've stayed crazy as hell having to adjust to the different people she'd interact with on the outside hell her actually getting to the bar and dealing with that crowd would've been good shit
Yeah that was a little ridiculous. I just watched the original shameless and to not spoil it for anybody who plans on catching that.. Spoiler Sheila gets over her phobia of going outside pretty quickly, but is too dumb/crazy to ever mind what Frank was up to anyway. I liked the way they handled it in the UK version so much better. If you guys have Netflix you should def. watch it if you haven't yet.
Really good episode. Grandma was exactly as you'd expect. I had forgotten that Fiona never knew about Steve like Debs did. I'll be interested to see where Frank goes from here. I guess teaming up with his mom.
I haven't seen the UK version of the show, so given that there may be a path that I am unaware of for her character aside, I would say that it is too early to make a judgment call on the impact of that event. I like her on the show, so I am guessing she has a role to be played still with or without Frank, and I am not so sure she is done with him yet.
Yes, I wasn't sure if Deb ever told her. I forgot, so that was a little anticlimactic, since it was such a big deal last year. Since they are not still in a full blown relationship it just seemed less important.
why not just let sheila keep making progress with her out of the house life? i mean first the whole landing gear falling a foot in front of her was a little too "lost" for me -------- I was wondering the same thing. I was watching one of the directors clips talking about each episode and they explained why it had to happen. They said that Joan Cusack aka Sheila couldn't do the show anymore if she kept on leaving the house. Cusack said that she wanted to fly in to Chicago and shoot scenes and fly back to wherever she lives so she can be with family. I guess it makes sense that it is far easier to do a bunch of scenes in the house quickly?
