Unfortunately, our hegemony of Slaw is on hold since we no longer play them regularly and we’ll obviously never play them in Atlanta.
Michael Penix ain’t walking thru that door. He played an entire season with Milroe and said “yeah I’m out”
I need him to code switch into a southern accent on the limo ride to campus. i just fucking need that to happen.
With NIL collectives, there’s even more of an incentive for kids get their ratings bumped than before and with the shitty business models of most of those rating sites, I imagine that a bunch of those stars are just straight up being sold to street agents. I think the recruiting / class rankings are going to end up being less reliable than they ever have been.
I'm glad you finally got a coach. No need to take out your frustration on people like myself and Gallant Knight noting some bumps along the way
Really curious how he builds his staff and if UW keeps Grubb who among his group is split off between the staffs. He’s got a really tight coaching circle and that is going to be uniquely challenging if Grubb gets a job also.
Thread title seems accurate. Master class from Sexton. Mark Schlabach Chris Low DeBoer had emerged as the Crimson Tide's top target even before three other possible candidates -- Oregon's Dan Lanning, Florida State's Mike Norvell and Texas' Steve Sarkisian -- withdrew from the search and affirmed their commitments to their current schools over the past two days.
How much is Saban going to have control over that defense. Seemed Champs posters were hoping for that. Def seems risky
A good southern boy you are. You know a thing or two about revising history and telling the "facts" once the dusts settles
You want to believe something so bad you ignore the best journalists in the business. Very Maga of you.
i knew bama fans will believe just about anything that confirms their worldview but even i didn’t think they’d believe the “deboer was always the number one option” spin and quite frankly i am embarrassed by how naive i was being thinking that
I hate to break it to you, but you're the one with the confirmation bias. People who have been plugged in this whole time have known DeBoer was the #1 target.
I'm old enough to remember when Lanning had to be the guy because he'd worked at Bama before and knew what it took. I am 36 hours old.
i already said i was embarrassed by my naiveté there is no need to rehash old things and rub it in man
While some of these points are true, Lanning doesn't have the juice to beat DeBoer which we had to take into consideration.
Lost in all this is poor Kiffin couldn't even get a raise out of this. They gave one to fucking Norvell who never had a shot.
Kiffin probably did the honorable thing and told his AD he had no interest from the start once the Saban news broke.
