the Celebrity Booze episode is so good Dennis screaming at Dee to shut up on the phone in the most demented manner imaginable. Incredible
Dennis cackling like when they went skiing right after he calls for a competition like when he and Dee were taking stuff from their mom's house. This season has really tapped into their early years. Every episode has been awesome
that was my favorite callback. that scene where he tries to jump out of the pool was so great with that line.
meg's clearly a superfan who always loves talking about the quotes and gags in each episode on the pod. i bet she is one of the main ones trying to write in the callbacks.
Just started last week. I have no idea why/how I didn’t watch. end of season six now i have a broken foot though so yolo
Impossible to pick a best episode or even a top 10, but Underage Drinking from season 1 is probably my favorite
It's impossible and changes frequently but I'll have to go with season 3: Dennis looks like a registered sex offender
I assume everyone is naming the best episode that isn’t Intervention. Because that is and will forever be the best. Beyond ludicrous that Danny didn’t win multiple Emmys for that performance.
Too many great episodes to pick a best ever but my favorite somewhat recent episode was The Gang Goes to a Water Park. The payoff at the end makes that episode. Charlie using a water bottle to wet the slide is the perfect touch.
An app. Boy, I got to tell you, I... uh, I don't love that This mental health day episode is incredible. What a season
D as in deliver me from this! E as in engage with human. N as in nightmare! N as in nightmare! I as in is this real?! S as in somebody help me! Lol absolutely nails the customer service experience
The Nightman Cometh The Gang Cracks the Liberty Bell Frank Reynolds' Little Beauties The Gang Spies Like US Time's Up for the Gang I think that's my top 5 most watched in the past year. Been on 18 years as of yesterday lol
I was in my last year of college when The Nightman Cometh came out, must have watched it a hundred times
Think I heard it on the podcast. Basically his agent told him he had the role but they had 1 last audition and they wanted to see Pratt because him and his agent had told them how excited he was for the role and he killed it during the audition. Or something like that it’s been forever since I heard it.
i've just heard he auditioned as well for it, never that it was "his" basically. you maybe right, i'm not sure, but i never felt it was characterized that way in previous things i've seen on it.
All I could find was how Gunn said he was his second choice for it. I may be completely misremembering him saying how it was basically his. My brain is mush now
IIRC, he was Gunn’s top choice. They interviewed like 10 top choices and then Pratt’s agent got him in as well. Pratt tells the story that his agent was straight up, it’s going to be one of these guys, probably one of these two, you won’t get it but just go in there and crush this and maybe Gunn will think of you for another project. Gunn loved them both and I’m pretty sure the debate was Pratt had better major motion picture experience but they were worried about him getting into shape. They went with the personal trainer and HGH route.
What was he in before Guardians? Thought he was still just playing Andy on Parks and Rec and this is what made him a movie star.
Guardians definitely made him a star but he had more than a handful of bigger movies and Glen didn’t really have anything if I remember correctly.
