From the Banshee creator guy... These are dangerous times. Based on the writings of Bruce Lee, from Jonathan Tropper co-creator of Banshee and Justin Lin director of Fast & Furious comes a new Cinemax original series.
I randomly found this show and started. It’s way better than I expected. It’s kind of like Peaky Blinders meets Kung Fu. Starting Season 2 now.
Season one was great, but season two was bad ass. Rarely do I find a show where I actually like all the characters and their development, Sans Blake, but that’s just his character. The character and story line development was awesome. I hope we get a season three. It being on HBO max might help that.
Just came across this thread. Huge Banshee fan. Hadn't heard of this show before. Can't wait to watch!!
watched the first two eps today I’m into it. that scene with the mayor’s wife in the bedroom - good lord.
Mai Ling plays the evil woman leader that GoT failed to do also Ah Sahm vs Leary ruled and I need this show back
I don't personally know a lot of ppl that watch this show. Someone mentioned it to me. Watched all of it. Really enjoyed it.
I found myself using the work scrap a lot today in court. Also I may have to start using the term sticky. I also think it would be funny to start calling people onions.
Just started season 2. It’s fantastic. Great combat scenes. Was happy to see hbomax pick up a third season.
Damn, was actually hoping the announcement was gonna be a release date, didn’t know they hadn’t even started filming yet. Love this show, hope it’s back before the momentum dies off
Oh shit!! June 29th. About fucking time. In the wake of the race riots that upended Chinatown in season two, Mai Ling uses her government connections to consolidate power, while Ah Sahm and the Hop Wei must find new ways to survive. A new season of Warrior premieres June 29 on Max.
3 episodes dropped last night. Just as good as it always is imo. The opening 10 minutes of episode 1 was an awesome way to welcome the show back.
Not sure how I missed this show until now, but binged the first two season over the 4th weekend. Jonathan Tropper really knows how to set up character rivalries that end up in WWE style prize fights. Love the characters and all of the factions. The last two episodes of season 2 were just insane between the riots and the Ah Sahm and Leary battle royale. I am still mad that Ah Sahm lost to Li Yong, and ever since then they seem to have really emasculated and diminished Li Yong as a power player. In any case, such an easy and enjoyable guilty pleasure watch.
Never heard of this until it popped up on max for season 3. Going to start it after I finish Succession.
Fuck Mai Ling, I hope Li Yong does take over the Tongs. And then Ah Sahn takes out Li Yong. That's what I would like to happen
I could see that too. I was a little pissed what she did to the elders, including the Iron Chef guy. Spoiler
Holy fuck! I’m totally shook. Spoiler Who was that who stabbed Chao? I say he lives. Also I wonder where this leaves Mai Ling and and Ah Sahm, although I guess she remains in charge of what’s left of the Long Zii, but of who? The rest or most, go with LI Yong to form a new tong. Loved the way they wrapped up the Strickland story. I think that ring plays a part at some time, but maybe too obvious.
