They talked about this in the podcast this week; obviously FEDRA is horrible and fascist but they ALSO were VERY good at keeping the infected at bay, and any group that replaces them is going to have to jump on that part of the job rather sharpish. I said to my wife that I can't imagine the rebels just leaving the QZ gates open was a good idea and that's exactly what happened at the end of the episode.
In the show opening the scientist says cordyceps makes the host hallucinate so perhaps a mixture of hallucinations and human survival instinct. Either way, mushroom zombies.
I assume he lives, but waiting two weeks for that answer is gonna suck. Also, as much as I dont want it to happen, zero chance some gaming nerd will spoiled it in that time. Also - I know Joel didnt want to go on w Ellie to Colorado because he's terrified of failing her, which is why he convinced Tommy to take her. But I dont get why both of them couldnt go, when Joel decided to stay with her. I know the story is about the two of them, but that seemed like a bit of a nonsensical plot hole.
More people in the group, the mort important she looks, more people who start asking questions perhaps. Joel already let Tommy know, I think it could have made sense to have him come too.
It’s a good thing I’m not Joel, because if I was, I would have given up a long time ago. I would have moved into Bill and Frank’s neighborhood and lived my life with Tess. And I sure as shit woulda stayed in that sweet city where Tommy was*. Both seemed like perfectly safe, enjoyable (all things considered) places to be. * I didn’t play the game so please don’t spoil it if shit goes haywire in that town later on.
Dump shouldn't have posted this ITT and non-gamers obviously don't google this because it's arguably spoilery for next season
I haven't played the games yet (waiting until they hit PC next month), but I am not particularly bothered by spoilers for this show for some reason. I mean I don't want to hear that this one or that one will die, but mentioning a potential character without context doesn't really spoil much.
Yea I really just want to prevent any people who are using this thread to ensure they aren't spoiled from googling something said in here and getting spoiled, which is easy to do if you look up the entity that dump mentioned.
I hope so. My one complaint is the pace is so uneven. Last night was a great episode of TV, but also felt a bit repetitive/a huge step back from finally advancing the plot.
Definitely a filler episode, but they had to explain how Bella first got infected. Also gave us a glimpse into life as a FEDRA kid.
Kept wondering why the hell Riley looked so familiar. It wasn’t until like halfway through that I realized it’s Rue’s sister.
Wouldn’t call that a filler episode, unless you mean it in another way. That moved her story forward, it showed what they are fighting for, and it provided so much depth to her character and who she was thinking of when she yelled at Joel last week “everyone I’ve ever cared for has either died or left me. Everyone fucking except for you!” Plot wise, yes they didn’t move beyond the cabin. But that’s why this show is better than most. Because it’s as much about the characters as the plot my
I read it was from an expansion pack of the game. I’m old and don’t play video games, and I guess don’t understand how video games are played these days. Can someone explain how all these things have a definitive arc? If this whole story is already predetermined, what do you do in the game? No spoilers please.
was watching ep 7 last night and recognized the artist who drew the Savage Starlight comic books Ellie likes which was kinda cool since I didn't play the game
