He's such a good match for a Bill Lawrence show. There are so many instances of the funny man that comes off as genuine and likable.
I love Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein and Jason Segal, so I'm going to give it a try but for some reason it doesn't look that appealing.
I did indeed like the most popular and critically acclaimed comedy of the last 15 years so I think you have reeled me in. edit: watched 1 episode and cried more than I laughed and don't see any ted lasso but sticking with it because it seems like a very interesting and well written show.
Hey some people didn't. Second ep the Ted comes through. Looks like Brett got the writing credit on second ep so it makes sense.
Second ep was significantly better than the first but still not great. there is also something about the production that is throwing me off and catching my attention. Especially most scenes with Harrison Ford. Like he was not filmed in the same room as his scene partners and it was just stitched together.
Yes, and I am glad to see he is looking healthy. I was concerned by what he looked like in 1923, but now I guess it was for the role.
That was awesome. My daughter and her college aged friends call me a lesbian for liking Phoebe Bridgers . That was perfect.
Harrison Ford singing Every Morning by Sugar Ray is a top tier TV moment Derek and Gabby carry this show Segel’s face at the end when he finally realizes was priceless
I can’t decide if he ends up hooking up with his co-worker, patient, Kate from drew Carey, or all three.
I somehow like every single character. Sean: He's like way better than you at this shit. Jimmy: Yeah no shit.
Everything is good about this show except the Sean & Alice relationship weirds me out. He looks around 30 and she is in high school.
I bet they go for the brother sister vibe shortly. I agree. The age gap is not legal. I can't imagine they ultimately go the pedo route. Maybe just the crushing on my dads patient who is living with us route, and he pushes back.
Yep exactly this is my thought, and it’s totally normal for high school girls to have a crush on a guy who is in his 20s.
The issue is definitely the actor's age appearances imo. Alice is supposed a senior in high school and all we know about Sean is that he left the military with PTSD(unless I've missed a clearer discussion of his age). Was that a year in or 5? If he joined right after high school it's feasible he's barely old enough to drink. It's problematic but not as much their appearance makes it seem, I think. It's also a little weird that we got the whole scene about the neighbor and coworker talking about their flings with adults while they were teenagers.
Took me a couple episodes before it clicked that he was Jefferson on Married with Children. Liz bugged me even more trying to remember where I’ve seen her before, then my wife said it’s Jordan from Scrubs.
