    When my wife worked for the Dolphins and they hosted the Colts/Saints Super Bowl, every staffer was assigned a team suite to kind of hang out in and tend to any issues that arose. My wife gets Cleveland’s box, which she initially wasn’t stoked about, until game time when she found out that Guy Fieri was there as someone’s guest. She ended up hanging out with Jim Brown, while Guy played Tom Cruise in Cocktail for everyone there……and he wasn’t even working, just did it and had a blast. Said he was cool as shit. I was like, yeah you don’t just waltz into Flavortown and walk out as mayor.

    Friday night watching Guys All American Road Trip with my wife. Hunter and Ryder go out to buy some crabs and they ask about if the market has their own boats. The poor guy describes how his parent both died last year when their crab boats sank. Hunter….awh that sucks…I hear you make the best crab chowder.

    My wife is like this is so awkward. Thank goodness Guy redeemed prince Ryder by inviting the crab guy to the cookout.

    The key to Guy is authenticity. You can’t fake the authentic enjoyment coming in and going out. There’s nothing more to it.

    The establishment tried to tamp him down but eventually came around because everyone likes the authentic fun good guy. Plus he has the Tiger Woods effect in the food world and everyone likes more money.
