“The role was scripted as a beautiful celebrity who never in a million years would date Dennis Bukowski. Those were the parameters,” Coiro says. “And Jameela Jamil [who costars as the villainous influencer Titania] had actually worked with Megan and brought her up very casually and we all lost our minds.” Maybe it’s just me but I feel like they left the Georgia Peach up a split second longer after the twerk lesson than normal.
So what’s the deal with “Donnie” Blaze? What did Madisynn say the name of the demon that helped her was? My guess is he met the real Johnny Blaze and stole his name?
Madisynn gave me Tynnyfer flashbacks from Parks and Rec to the point where I convinced myself the same actress had to have played both (it was not).
I went on imdb during the episode to see what I knew the actress from and couldn't figure it out. I think I was thinking the same thing.
"He sent me to a diff dimensh, and a talking goat helped me escape a lava pit in exchange for 6 drops of my blood. Then I kinda browned out , and now I'm here"
Honestly one of the better episodes from all their D+ shows. Obviously a different tone but they nailed it. I think the writing has veered hard towards corny recently, but I was laughing out loud multiple times during that episode.
I like this series and character but I still have my reservations. We typically get comedy mixed with consequences for the characters. You see it with Stark, Thor, and even Deadpool. So far, there aren't true consequences for She-Hulk. Part of that I think is how they've designed this series. Each episode is largely self-contained and short. I wonder if they could have written a movie to introduce this character. All of that said, I'm holding off giving a full critique until the end. Wong is still an awesome character and I would watch an entire series of his antics.
