is there still a thread somewhere on here discussing sites for this? just tried to log on to IPT for the first time in probably 4 years and my account is gone
Spoiler: Last episode spoiler I liked the season and thought they did a pretty good job tying things together. One gripe is that the doctor who lied about his diagnosis knew Tommy was having seizures and hallucinations. How would he know that?
Spoiler I don’t think so, the doctor mentioned these symptoms to Tommy before Lizzie walked in the room and then Tommy called the doctor his accountant. Small detail but something I noticed. Kind of wish Tommy took him out.
Spoiler agree that this all happened way too fast and with little explanation. Taking out Billy alone would have been perfectly fine, the last second banishment of Finn seemed to come completely out of nowhere. The quip about Finn not learning Romani was the only thing leading up to that indicating Tommy didn't trust him or whatever, unless I'm missing something big. The whole season felt rushed and yet lacked any real point imo. I guess if it was all a set up for the movie that has been speculated, some of the storyline decisions can be redeemed; but on its own, I thought it was a supbar final season
Finale was pretty good, but definitely lacked in some explanation of things. After like season 2 though this show never could get back the magic of its early seasons.
He ran his mouth to Billy about the Mosley assassination at the end of S5. Could have something to do with it. The test itself made sense, but outside of the Mosley info I agree they didn't give us much reason why that scene went the way it did. Him choosing Billy over family wasn't a crazy surprise and I'm glad he's out. Worst Shelby family member by far, including the shitty ex-wives.
Feels the same as if they would have cut a normal season short with 2 episodes to go. I think they knew what they wanted the movie to be about, had about ~2 hours of material for that, and just tried to get to that movie's starting point by any means necessary. If you look at the season + movie being one story/season we're right about where we should be as far as what has happened and how much we have no explanation for. Each season tends to have some point in the final episode that explains how Tommy went from certain doom to ending on top through a grand scheme of deals.
This is from season 5, some people were confused because it was slightly ambiguous, but finale confirmed this basically.
Only half way through this new season and it’s been a drag. Last two seasons have just been meh which sucks because I loved the earlier seasons.
First convo after the murder in Season 5 >>> Hardy mumbling about being dead and a god and shooting at fuckin ships was pretty hilarious to me
What season 6 episode 4. Thought this season has been lackluster so far but Spoiler scene when Arthur and Thomas talk on wine cellar was fantastic
Not sure on etiquette so spoiler for good measure Spoiler Is Nelson suppose to represent the Kennedys?
I'm only on season 3 so behind the times bigly but just popping in to mention that for me, Grace is the sexiest woman on television. What a fucking smokeshow
Finally finished this last season. I enjoyed it. That ending trickery was pretty cool. Only Tommy can kill Tommy.
Alfie Solomons has to be one of the best TV characters ever, Tom Hardy just kills that character. Completely incomprehensible without subtitles but his conversations with Tommy are the best moments of the series.
Finished the most recent season and enjoyed the ending. Sets up well for the movie. Still prefer the older seasons where the peaky blinders actually exist as a crime gang. The last couple seasons where Tommy gets into politics weren't as enjoyable.
