Episode 1 released today and it was a solid A for me. Despite so much criticism ahead of time about the CGI, I didn’t have any issues with it for the final product. The comedy was really good, and for those without any patience, the illustrated credits are awesome and the after-credits scene was worth the wait. While some of the D+ shows have taken a few episodes to get off the ground, this shows immediate promise.
Classic Hulk, just wants to Smash. OUR girl She-Hulk, just wants to get smashed. Praise be to our horny green female goddess.
Depends. 1943 Cap is probably gentle, worried about his super strength. Beard Endgame Cap? A veritable brawler.
I liked it. Lots of references to the comics and larger MCU. She’s snarky 4 wall breaking character that will win over folks that give it a chance. I would love to see her and Deadpool in a scene together. From what I read, each episode was more self contained while carrying a general theme across all of them. That avoids the pacing issues from other shows so far. Definitely looks like they’re using this show to set up Hulk’s future more powered storyline (maybe world breaker Hulk adaptation).
Feel like it’s about to get campy based on the final courtroom scene, but I’m here for it. First episode was fun
A lot of the “criticism” I’ve seen about this show is centered around the idea that they’re introducing She Hulk to replace Banner’s Hulk. Of course that’s not true and if you follow any of the clues and rumors out there, you can see their setting up some version of a world war hulk storyline for the future. I saw critiques of the scene where when She Hulk is clearly fucking with him calling herself the better Hulk. My response was “did you get this upset when Thor and others did the same shit and called themselves the strongest avenger?” Of course not.
Yeah, she was awesome. I’m not as optimistic for Tahani, that actress has never really done it for me. The links her character has with Doom though intrigues me.
Yes but Dump; have you considered that any media not designed from the outset to entertain this mid 30s college educated white American cis het man is inherently discriminatory?
The problem is this is a both ways problem. When 98% of your reviews are 10 or 1 and it hadn’t even shown its first episode to the public, then there is a problem. I love this show. It’s neither a 10 or a 1 though. Sadly, this is not going to change as long as anyone with an internet connection can post a review.
Really liked the second episode. Didn’t really see anything that will get the delicate kids all hot and bothered. Lots of intrigue about the next episode(s) now based on the last two minutes.
After Wong and Abomination fight in Shang-Chi, Wong opens a portal they both go through and it shows the same prison cell Emil was inside this episode.
When she's on the phone with him. He says, "I'm a completely different person." Cut to her, (looks at the camera) ha ha. I wonder just how much stuff they're going to reference in this series. After 2 episodes, it is already as many (or more) than the other Disney + series.
The reviews were saying this series connects to the overall MCU the most of any D+ series so far, plenty of cameos and callbacks.
And that cell is the similar from Avengers 1 on the helicarrier designed for the Hulk, but Loki sent Thor crashing to land instead.
