Spoiler i get they have nothing for jonathan to do so they have to drag out this breakup storyline, but get on with it already like nancys gonna go back to that lame ass trick when beefcake harrington is in the mix
Spoiler I can’t decide if using that moby song from the season 1 finale in the emotional crescendo in this season’s finale is a good move or not. It fucking wrecked me as soon as it kicked in, which is obviously what they’re going for, but it’s basically the only song (I think it’s the only one) that doesn’t fit the time setting of the show. I thought it was weird they used a song from 1995 during season 1, so it’s kinda weird to double down. Regardless, that’s a small gripe and it’s a great song. Crushing scene too, some unreal acting performances from the kids in that finale.
Spoiler Seeing the weight of real consequences for a main character was pretty shocking. Idk how they resolve that situation, seems like she’s basically just a husk at this point.
Also Spoiler Will becomes the bad guy in S5 right? They made a point to note how the particles became one with the other things

I'm sure I'll get hate for this but that was not a good end to the season. They're clearly milking this for money. There were some well done scenes, see Master of Puppets but I do not love the ending. It's a shame because most of the season was done pretty well. Spoiler I felt like they didn't have any idea how to end it so they just kicked the can down the road. The Russia shit went on for way too long. Deciding to kill Eddie is fine but lazy as he was the main character that we had the least invested in. All in all just felt like a jumbled mess.
Spoiler Where was he at the end? He was picking mushrooms then the whole gang goes to look up at the sky and he wasn’t with them I hope he died on one of Hopper’s traps
Spoiler Eddie scenes in the finale were great. Guitar scene was awesome. His redemption arc had me saying out loud “dont fuckin run Eddie” when he was about to climb the sheet. Dustin’s army outfit was fucking hilarious Max deserves an Emmy of some sort Hopper on that Keto diet lookin sexy as hell. Really liked how they tied Russia into contributing vs Vecna/1/Henry. The scene with all the demagorgons in the tanks was pretty creepy. Jonathan, Mike and Will suck. They were really wasted time in the season. Will is a fuuuucking terrible actor. He was basically crying before he even started speaking any line in the last two episodes. And not even good crying. Dustin, Lucas, etc we’re 1000% more believable in emotional scenes. Dustin killed it at the shelter also I was waaaay off on the hierarchy of power in the upside down. But the way they explained Vecnas control of everything and tied in the early El experiments to Brenner was a good twist
Will and Jonathan suck and have always sucked. Mike, Will, and Jonathan are safe from dying in S5 because the Duffers don't want to turn Vecna babyface.
Will is a socially awkward, closeted guy who is still figuring out his feelings for Mike and people in general and Noah Schnapp does a pretty good job of portraying that on the screen for a 17 year old
Yeah that's totally Will talking about his own feelings for Mike. It's too on the nose, especially with Jonathan's reaction
This was the worst season, right? Overall, it was still good, but it was the season I had the most problems with.
At this bloated stage of the show, there are approximately 47 main characters. Some will have no job. Their single purpose was to befriend and bring Argyle for his excellence and salt hook-ups.

Wow really enjoyed that. Spoiler Damn Eddie followed by Max. Shit hit me in the feels. Loved Eddie’s solo and standing tall
Spoiler just rewatched the final battle, holy shit Eddie dying fucking hits in all of the feels. Max going to was just a swift kick in the nuts. Dustin and Lucas both give incredible performances next to both of those dying characters. Also the idiot jock dying was the only smile in this entire scene. Fuck that guy. But holy shit can you imagine what season 5 is going to be? There is supposed to be a time jump to form ‘86 to ‘89/90 according to the the Duffer’s. Considering how this one ends, I don’t see how that makes sense considering how this one ends with Vecna being able to come into the real Hawkins now.
Only really memorable thing for me in season 2 was Max being introduced tbh. Sadie Sink is easily the best actress of the kids, with MBB in second.
