her name is Hawaiian I have two kids with similar names “Ka” and “Lei” with the suffix “Lani” Everything I have read about her says she was born and raised in Canada, “Keilani was born and raised in Canada and her roots trace back to the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. She also has Hawaiian ancestry. ” so again I’ve thrown my self on the mercy of Canadian horny court justice. May they have mercy on my soul
I’m a late arrival to Letterkenny, haven’t read the thread, and have only seen season 1. I don’t know how they top this… Gail to Wayne: Call me cake cause I’ll go straight to your ass, cowboy. There are very few things on tv, in movies, etc that make me laugh out loud, but this line had me rolling.
I'm all caught up and I liked season 10 more than most I think. Shoresy was better than most seasons of LK and that's not a knock on LK.
“I don’t know they must be big shots taking planes every day of the week not calling their parents” Love shoresy to fucking death.
Still haven’t read the thread… The yes yes yes yes scene in the relationships episode was awesome. Reminded me of the dick algorithm from silicon valley. I’d love to see some bloopers from getting that done since Wayne barely held on for the final cut. Finish up with the Stewart dance off and that episode is top cheddar.
Shoresy is more Ted Lasso type of funny to me. LK had so much better back and forth banter and comedic timing. Shoresy is still amazing though. The scene where he wants a dip but it’s in the room where they’re having sex and he just waits it out and goes in after they leave and grabs it had me rolling.
Never watched a second of Letterkenny or even know a single actor. Just got back from Canada, where I saw Shoresy ads, so I naturally started the show and finished it in one sitting.
Thinking about that, actually...it's weird to think that you saw Keeso as Shoresy before you saw him as Wayne. Shoresy is in Letterkenny but you never see his face.
Your mother lent me a few of her spare parts the other day, but they were so worn out that I wasn’t sure what went where.
I don't think it's that bad. The only downside is it will seem like Shorsey, as a character, regressed quite a bit. Other than that, I can't see it making a big difference at all.
Finished S3. Hopefully some of the running jokes ease up. To be fair The hockey dressing room shit Wayne/McMurray salutations
I will watch them all and post my thoughts without reading the thread. Show still lights the lamp and I’ll get after it on vacation this week. To be fair, I could just use less ‘to be faaaiiiirrr’.
If you got a problem with recurring gags then you got a problem with me and I suggest you let that one simmer, once.
Some of you guys should take zeberdee ’s “Integrating Letterkenny Slang Into Message Board Posting” masterclass. Bad gas all around, boys.
So I started watching this show last week (I know I’m way late). Almost through S2. Reilly and Jonesy are definitely my favorite side characters so far. The skids are probably the group I’m least interested in.
Just started Letterkenny a couple weeks ago after finishing Shoresy. I'm now starting Season 6. My thoughts/observations, so far: Spoiler - Jonesy and Reilly's teammates with the Shamrocks annoyed me. Every scene dragged on because the bit with them meant every one of them had to get a line in. - Gail is my least favorite of the regular side characters. - There are moments where the Skids annoy me, too. - Having said all that, I love everything about the Canadian-ness and idiosyncratic nature of the show. The lingo and dialogue are generally great. - Love Squirrelly Dan. - Favorite side character is Glen.
I couldn’t stand the Skids the first time though until the St. Paddy’s Day episode where they seemed to click into place for me and from then on I found them hilarious. Same with Gail, she was a bit too abrasive for me initially but she grows on you
Man, what a show. I watched Shoresy first and don’t think it made a difference, but I probably would’ve preferred watching Letterkenny first. Just…the writing, the dialogue, the characters. Hell of a show.
I never loved nor hated them, but now that you mention it, their characters did a lot of development over the course of the show.
