Watched Yellowstone, started 1883 and started watching whatever movies he’s done on the subscriptions my wife already pays for and just wanted to make a place to fangirl
Idk man I’m kinda starting to be over him after this past season of Yellowstone. 1883 is nice and Mayor of Kingstown is interesting on a suspension of belief level but he’s gotta get his shit back together
But since I’m here, Sicario is my favorite movie in the last ten years and Hell Or High Water is a close second. Both are infinitely rewatchable
Sicario is a brilliant movie that peaks hard a few times and luls a bit in the middle. Hell or High Water is better. It’s just flat out great for every single minute of it.
got hell or high water on my dvr and I turn it on anytime I can’t fall asleep at night and always end up watching it all.
Assuming they all continue for another year or two, this guy will have 5 different TV shows in production at the same time: Yellowstone 1883 the newly announced Yellowstone spinoff based on 6666 Ranch Mayor of Kingstown the Hell or High Water TV series that's being made Not sure anyone has ever been on a heater like that before and that's not even including whatever movies he makes. He seems to have figured out exactly what people and studios want.
Hell or High Water is one of my favorite movies of all time Wind River is excellent Sicario is good Yellowstone was good for first 3 seasons and season 4 was not great. I like Mayor of Kingstown so far.
I'd imagine he's making tens of millions a year doing it so I don't see that happening even though I think I agree.
For me, I think it’s that I saw Sicario in theaters after seeing the trailer here and it somehow surpassed the hype. But everyone in HOHW is brilliant, including the severely under-appreciated Gil Birmingham
I want to also say that Wind River is great too. It’s just hard to match the perfection that are Sicario and Hell or High Water. My favorite line is “you didn’t see it?” when they try to flank them.
I think MOK is fun but its too loose for what I want from Sheridan. Season 4 of Yellowstone has turned that show into an absolute joke. I honestly like 1883 and will definitely give the HOHW show a chance.
I was mesmerized by sicario. Second wasn’t nearly as good but they first one was an absolute work of art.
I liked the sequel. It’s certainly not the first but it’s enthralling (even after the reactionary inciting incident bullshit)
All of his TV shows seem pretty loose IYAM. Yellowstone is borderline soap opera level dramatic but with a much higher budget and better acting. His shoes are entertaining as hell though. I haven't watched MOK since the second episode but am planning to catch up in the near future. 1883 is definitely my favorite currently. The setting is better but Sam Elliot is always amazing. Enjoying Tim McGraw's acting more than I expected too.
Dude I am a huge fan of what Tim McGraw is bringing to that show. Definitely holds his own with Elliot
My biggest complaint is the accent the actress that plays Elsa is doing. I was not at all surprised to learn she grew up in southern California when I googled her.
