Cartoon based on the Image comic created by Robert Kirkman. Never read the comic or know much about the characters, fun show so far though. Like a more violent Justice League with a dark sense of humor.
Invincible is one of my favorite series so seeing this was really great. It will great to see some of the bigger moments animated in the future.
Back in 2005ish, I bought the first 10 issues of Robert Kirkman’s Walking Dead off of e-Bay. I was only interested in issues 1-4 because they were limited prints and this guy was selling 1st prints. So I drop $200 for them as a potential investment. The guy emails me and says he’s just trying to get rid of his collection and if I’m a fan of Kirkman’s then he’ll throw in the first 4 issues of Invincible too. So yeah, really damn good comic series.
I’ve never read any of the comics and had no idea what to expect going in and I love it so far. I can only assume that his son getting his powers somehow ties to Omniman needing to murder the global guardians.
A key line, when Omniman was comitting genocide "Earth isn't yours to conquer". He's clearing a path for what I assume are his people. Also everyone's a damn crook in this show. Also this show is good and an easy enjoyable watch. Will probably start in on the comics soon.
If something has happened in the show already it’s cool, but for any plot stuff from the comics could you please put it in spoilers.
I’m trying to watch this but the sound editing is killing me. The fight scenes are insanely too loud compared to the dialogue.
Damn Mahersala was great as Titan. Omni Man is a cold bastard watching his son take a beating just so he learned a lesson.
This past episode was pretty weak IMO. Also annoying to me that every episode is like an existential threat when he is supposed to be super powerful
Mark gets his ass beat all the time in the comics, he's also still relatively young with his powers as well. Also Battlebeast was like and endgame boss showing up in a starter town last episode/
I have no problem with battle beast, I have a problem with him getting his ass handed to him by a lane ass cyborg that impaled itself on a statue when he can stop a fucking asteroid sorry if that sounded overly angry I’m drunk and taking care of babies
He did nearly die and is doubting himself. Also, you can’t make him ridiculously overpowered yet, the show would be kind of lame.
SPILL THE BEANS ON WHY YOURE MURDERING OLD MAN Love this show so far. Immortal put up a much better fight this time but still got clapped in round 2.
I never read the comics and don't plan to. I want to but I'd rather see where they take certain arcs that I'm aware of
This show is awesome. Should be done with the finale tonight. I'm impressed by the caliber of actors they got to do the voice work.
After hearing about how amazing the show is I decided to give episode one a shot yesterday. I was not familiar with the comics at all and when I tell you that my mind was fucked after the ending of episode one… jfc I was not expecting that.
Reading the comic and boy the show is such a superior version. love the story and concept and I want to know what happens next, so I’m kind of unsure how to proceed.
I never read the comics but someone who did said they’ve sped up some things but the show is a masterpiece because of the comics being so bonkers you can take bits and pieces and still move the story along as it’s supposed to.
I started reading it. the big twist comes like 7 issues in. Way more of a shock. But the show did a great job too.
I know I ragged on that shitty episode where invincible got tea-bagged by some shitty cyborgs that were put together in the ninja turtles lair, but great show overall - even the wife is into it which really surprised me
Just binged this. Holy Shit. The first episode is bonkers. I kinda wondered at first if it was like a Superman type thing where he was supposed to conquer instead of being a friend. The multiple storylines were woven in nicely and didn’t feel rushed. Excited for 2 more seasons
