It's hitting the same problem that True Detective had; no season is ever going to beat S1. Just not to that extent. All of the Fargos have been watchable at least.
Disagree with yall . I'm really enjoying this season. Chris Rock isn't nearly as bad as yall are making him out to be.
DOn't they claim it is based on a true story. Is there a known serial killer that was a nurse in Kansas City around this time?
2 is the best, every character hit the mark. Kristen dunst was unreal, wilson was very good. That season was very very good. Season one was also pretty good. I will need to see the rest of this season to rank 3 and 4
Is this US Marshall character going to survive the season? The twitchy bad cop that works with the Italians is definitely getting whacked.
And I'm guessing the black gang and Italian gang mostly kill each other off in a large battle. I'll predict the Irish guy that works with the Italians will be one of the few that survive.
The overly italian brother, the dirty cop, the dad, and chris rock are distracting me with their acting... it's mediocre at best
i know the show likes doing callbacks and everything, but you cant give chris rock the same dialogue as bokeem woodbine and expect it to go well
Really good episode besides the total out of character forgiveness from Gaetano, but it moves the story in the right direction. So happy to see the sister's sidekick go. Her overacting was killing me in every scene. Worse than even Gaetano. Seems like things are setting up for a really good last few episodes.
Really liking where this season is headed down the final stretch. Numerous big storylines still open.
Was it just me or did the brother with glasses look like Martin Freeman? Even seemed to act like him.
I don’t think schwartzman is bad in the role per se, its just that its hard to see the character and not just jason schwartzman. Same thing w Rock. Season would have been better with more unknown actors but I still think its a good season. Better than 3 but behind 1,2
The characters are obviously suppose to be quirky and goofy. It’s how the roles where written. It’s not the actors. The brother plays a stone cold killer in an Italian Mafia show. It’s weird to see him act so cartoonish. It’s actually a testament to his acting range. Schwartzman is probably who Hawley had in mind when writing the role if i had guess
Bingo. The only people in the whole season that "deserved" to not come out as losers was the funeral home family...so, I liked the finale.
Just do season 2 again, but with Milligan killing his new office boss and takin it back to the streets Same soundguy as before
Overall I enjoyed the season. It wasn't as good as 1 and 2 but was better than 3 imo. Some of the casting decisions were a little off but I felt like the brother grew on me and the side characters were strong
I actually did not like the finale when I watched it but now that I think about it Spoiler the mob boss deserved to get it and so did Chris Rock. I'm glad the kid made it home. I kept expecting Irish to somehow have survived the tornado.
I do think that was the weakest season by probably a good margin. I know I argued with yall but upon further reflection Chris Rock was probably the weakest lead character in the history of the show. He's just a weird pick for a lead actor in this show . He didn't nail it . I think it totally missed the mark. I think someone else would've done a much better job and could've made a big difference in the quality of this seaosn. I like Chris Rock so I wanted it to work . But after seeing the whole season I'm fine with admitting that it did not work. I think Jason Schwartzman did the best acting job of the season and his character was the most memorable.
It felt like 2 different people directed each episode Rock wasn't perfect, but can you say he was good at any point? No memorable scenes for him, which is hard to do if you're a lead.
I couldn't take Chris Rock's death face. I was on the verge of laughing. So was the daughter a bigger character connected to another season? I guess I didn't understand her ending. It was her story ok? Why was she in a business suit and getting suitcases to go? Did I miss something?
Just started season two. Pretty intense scene in the restaurant to start. Pretty sure the Burn Notice dude is in this? And dude from Bone Tomahawk
