one thing that's annoyed me rewatching on netflix is they apparently couldn't keep the rights to a number of closing songs. the original songs fit the episodes so perfectly and the replacements just changed the feeling of the episodes for me.
Just watched the episode where the guy with the 8 year old kid dies of cancer. Plane got really freaking dusty all the sudden
I watched it yesterday and want to start another re-watch immediately because I don't want it to end.
I restarted the series this week. It hits just absolute brilliant mode in Episode 22, when Ben is introduced... Freaking scene almost brought me to tears when JD goes to the pathologist Dr. Fred Bob... It has EVERYTHING that makes the series great all in 30 seconds. Dr.: Please call me Bob JD: You go by your first name? Dr.: My first name is Fred JD: Fred Bob? Dr.: How can I help you? JD: I was wondering if you could do a retest on Mr. Sullivan... Dr.: That depends, young man, do you want me to check again because you think I'm wrong, or because you hope I am JD: I guess I kind of hope you're wrong Dr.: Then I'll do it Just a simple combination of comedy and drama that no show can match when Scrubs is at its peak.
I know JD gets a little annoying as the series goes on, but he's one of my favorite characters ever. He's so caring and genuinely good from start to finish. He fucks up, but he's really awesome.
Probably my favortite series ever. Been a while since I've dove into it. We watched it religiously when it was still going, and then my ex had all the season on dvd (after me and my roommate turned her on to it), so many a hungover Sunday in college was spent not leaving my bed and marathoning this show.
The episode with Ben is obviously devastating... But, one of the saddest scenes in the series comes when Dr. Cox realizes that his EMT partner lost her son. It kicks me in the feels as hard as anything when he walks back into the room... She's crying and he says, "What happened to your son, Denise?" This fucking show, man.
Was watching some of the earlier seasons again the other day. This was one of my favorite Dan scenes of the entire series.
Still upsets me they cut out Carla for Elizabeth Banks when they introduced her later in the series via flashback
I saw that the other day and I don't think that's what it was. I think she was supposed to be in the 3rd road Carla/Turk hadn't yet arrived. Could be wrong, but I don't think Turk is sitting there in the flashback.
Fiancée and I are watching scrubs while on lockdown. She’s seen some episodes but not all so she agreed to do a full rewatch. She doesn’t yet know that I suggested what has become our first dance song partly (OK, entirely) bc of this show... we’re just at the start of season 2 right now. Loving it, as always
