https://breakingbad.fandom.com/wiki/Matt_Ehrmantraut Spoiler Background Matt was a rookie police officer in Philadelphia and was married to Stacey for an unknown amount of time. Together, they had one daughter, Kaylee Ehrmantraut. Matt was also very close to his father, Mike Ehrmantraut, whom he always admired very much and hoped to one day become a successful police officer just like him. Matt worked with his longtime partner, Officer Hoffman, who one day came to him offering dirty money, which Matt declined, believing it was the right thing to do. Sergeant Fensky later pressed Matt on taking the money. Confused, Matt called his father to ask what to do. He wanted to go to Internal Affairs and inform against his partner and sergeant. Mike was worried that if Matt ratted out on his work colleagues, this would eventually put him in trouble with the rest of the precinct, which was full of dirty cops just like Hoffman and Fensky. So Mike revealed to his son that he was also a dirty cop and there's nothing wrong with taking dirty money, the bad guys are caught in the end no matter what. Matt put his father on a pedestal before, and this revelation left him devastated. Matt eventually decided to follow his father's advice and took the money. But it was too late, Fensky and Hoffman were scared that Matt would rat them out, so they set up an ambush to kill Matt. This crime since then became a mystery to the city's police department, since no one ever found out who killed Matt ("Five-O").
go back and watch five-0 its E6S1 iirc the whole episode is dedicated to what happened. and it might be the best episode of the show. “I broke my boy” fucking chills.
Did Jonathan Banks ever win any beat supporting actor awards for that performance? That was one of the better performances I’ve ever seen
Since we know a lot of what happens with a lot of these characters going forward I am irrationally stressed out during any Kim scene where anything could go wrong because she just straight up was never mentioned in Breaking Bad. After she went off on the old dude I thought, welp, he's probably gonna commit suicide and she'll blame herself. Then she fucking went back and entered his property without permission and I thought she was either going to find him dead or he was going to shoot her. Then we just end up with her and Jimmy tossing beer bottles from their balcony. There are some more logical, obvious exit points with her now but I still fear the worst during basically all of her scenes.
exactly my thought, you can see her caring less and less about his stupid behavior. She will just leave.
I don’t think the writers are bad enough to do something stupid like having Mesa Verde relocate her, but great shows have shit the bed worse.
Me too but it's the most likely thing to happen I think. Either that or her dying. Something has to happen to get Jimmy from where he is now to BB Saul. He's on his way now but there's still another breaking point for him
pretty sure he is doing it right now, and she is seeing it but overwhelmed. She will just bail after another stupid decision that is brought by his other stupid decisions earlier so he has no choice.
I don't think Kim's fate necessarily has to be tragic, it just has to be painful to Jimmy. She could just clear her stuff out of the house and leave out of the blue and the writers could position that as the final straw for Jimmy/Saul.
I absolutely hate cigarettes and automatically think someone smoking a cigarette looks trashy and unattractive But not with Kim, something about her holding that cig is sexy
Had Mike been acting all crazy because the granddaughter brought up his dead son? Also, I'm not going to act like I know why Saul wants to be that stubborn homeowner's attorney. Gus helps that guy get out of jail and sets up those drop offs to satisfy Lalo?
Mike is upset about Werner primarily but his grief caused him to slip into self-destructive behaviors. Kim asked Jimmy to help that dude Gus doesn't want to compromise his mole. Guessing he's cooking up something to get rid of Lalo but in the meantime he has to protect Nacho
Kim got frustrated that they're going to boot the old man so she got Saul to go out there and represent him. I'm curious what Howard's angle is offering Jimmy a job
Also to answer some other questions you may have Saul Goodman is Jimmy's alter ego. The show takes place in New Mexico Jimmy and Kim are both attorneys
