Anyone read Fire and Fury? I'm about halfway through. Its a good read but Wolff's run-on sentences make my brain hurt. Didn't know Hope Hicks and Corey Lewandowski (married at the time) had an affair. Was that common knowledge? According to Wolff, at one point Hope told Trump she felt bad about Corey was being treated by the media. Trump replied something to the effect of "Don't feel bad, you're the best piece of tail he's ever had". Hope immediately ran out of the room.
Harwood did say it was clear it was rushed and lacked a copy editor. I’ll read every excerpt that gets posted but probably never going to read that cover to cover.
there was a story about trump or someone saying that she was the best piece of ass corey could ever get and then she left the room or something about a week ago (which means it happened within the last two days)
I believe the point is a public official trying to end this notion the president's counsel is saying about it being almost over
Right but we need them pronto to keep the pressure on and steer Trump towards a heart attack followed by coma.
it is interesting but glad to hear i am not the only one dealing with some of those sentences. i find myself reading and having to go back and start over a paragraph bc i forgot where the sentence began
You’ve gotta be an adulterous piece of shit for trump to think you’re cool. Sanctity of marriage, yadda, yadda, I wanna fuck all your wives.
This was one sentence: "If it was not true—and it was hard to fathom a middle ground—then it would seem to support the Trump view (and the Bannon view) that the media, in also quite a dramatic development in the history of democracy, was so blinded by an abhorrence and revulsion, both ideological and personal, for the democratically elected leader that it would pursue any avenue to take him down." and this one: "Movie scenarios were painted: a cabal of intelligence community myrmidons, privy to all sorts of damning evidence of Trump’s recklessness and dubious dealings, would, with a strategic schedule of wounding, embarrassing, and distracting leaks, make it impossible for the Trump White House to govern." and this winner: "Tom Barrack, the would-be showman—in addition to Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, he had bought Miramax Pictures from Disney with the actor Rob Lowe—may have declined the chief of staff job, but, as part of his shadow involvement with his friend’s White House, he stepped up to raise the money for the inaugural and to create an event that—seemingly quite at odds with the new president’s character, and with Steve Bannon’s wish for a no-frills populist inauguration—he promised would have a “soft sensuality” and “poetic cadence."
I'm not going to believe it till it happens that Trump will sit down for a interview with Mueller that will last for at least 3+ hours.
It will be recorded. By both sides. And Trump will be incoherent. I'm going to have a shit fit when the defense of Trump is that he was mentally unsound and in the throws of dementia when he told his son to commit treason.
In the throes of* But I was speaking more to if there will be certain subjects that aren’t allowed to be broached. And if that’s the case will Mueller just subpoena him.
There was an undercurrent of boos for Trump at the game tonight, but unfortunately there were more people cheering. Pretty sure I pissed some people off by booing but fuck them.
I'm not sure that I can think of something more American than booing the president in a public setting
Same, listened again after he said that he said fuck Georgia and I can definitely hear that. Probably why Saban ran Najee in the 2nd half
Booing the president and then opening fire on 5 or 6 randoms while shotgunning a cheap watery beer of choice?
Patiently waiting for our President to claim he not only knows the words to the national anthem, but he in fact helped to write them. People would defend that claim. Lots of people.
How does someone not know the words of the national anthem? I feel like that's something you'd have to make a concerted effort to achieve.
I can’t wait for the MAGA crowd to brush this off by claiming that no one cares about the national anthem and it’s only libs that are obsessed with the national anthem.
So, to climb a wall thousands of years ago soldiers would use a rope and 3 pronged hooks and our president believes cartels worth billions won’t figure out how to scale this motherfucker? He is all about perception, but if you pull back the ragged curtain it’s yakety sax level of stupid.
Trump cutting border personnel would be poetic justice for all those border patrol officers that backed him
