My rival town has a very small group of kids that like to egg houses and throw toilet paper in trees. Our mayor goes over to their town every few weeks and yells about how shitty all the people in their town are since there are a few that egg houses and throw toilet paper in trees. Lately, more and more houses in my own town have been getting egged and having toilet paper thrown in our trees. I guess our mayor just needs to be more abrasive to our rival town and maybe get more involved over there. At least he's trying something though!
http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2009/12/buildabomber.html A paper (PDF) released this summer by two sociologists, Diego Gambetta and Steffen Hertog, adds empirical evidence to this observation. The pair looked at more than 400 radical Islamic terrorists from more than 30 nations in the Middle East and Africa born mostly between the 1950s and 1970s. Earlier studies had shown that terrorists tend to be wealthier and better-educated than their countrymen, but Gambetta and Hertog found that engineers, in particular, were three to four times more likely to become violent terrorists than their peers in finance, medicine or the sciences. The next most radicalizing graduate degree, in a distant second, was Islamic Studies. ....... Terrorist organizations seem to have recognized this proclivity—in Abdulmutallab, obviously, but also among engineers in general. A 2005 report from British intelligence noted that Islamic extremists were frequenting college campuses, looking for "inquisitive" students who might be susceptible to their message. In particular, the report noted, they targeted engineers.
this dome performance is in the first line of his induction to our idiot posters hall of fame it started with like six in sequence straw men he created to yell at
Uh no. There are a lot of good people in Texas, but their legislature is fucking looney toons and not even close to the makeup of people who lean liberal/conservative.
*an ideology built on telling muslims in western communities you'll never be accepted, they hate you, and wish you weren't in their country, to attempt to radicalize you to their cause* hmm how do we combat this, a message of inclusivity and separating Islam as a religion from the terrorist groups? hmm, seems lame and something that Obama would do *elects trump who is a cartoon characterization of what ISIS claims the entire West is* at least hes trying something *kills self*
remember these gents from Texas https://www.vox.com/identities/2017/10/20/16510468/shooting-gainesville-florida-richard-spencer
Scottish and Dutch mostly. But yeah, I am IRA. So this is fair, it's like my version of Nazi cosplay.
That's about the line where you make them speak to test for an accent and check their license for their name
Going to rural Michigan in the summer of 2016 was the first time I realized trump really might be our president.
It's fucking amazing you post this and can't realize the constant demeaning if them and treating their people as terrorists is further marginalizing them...
Here’s why I have such a fucking problem with Trump’s and the republicans response to what happened in NYC. When it comes to terrorist attacks on the homeland Rs will get up there and say we need to do everything in our power to prevent this from happening again. And you know what? Good on them! That’s the governments fucking job. To protect its citizens. When it comes to mass shootings. The Rs get up there and say we can’t legislate evil away. They need our thoughts and prayers right now. These two things are not different. In a very black and white way innocent Americans are dying. The message the right sends here is disgusting - Americans getting slaughtered by an out of control gun issue is accepted as a normal part of life and we can’t legislate it away. Being slaughtered by ISIS isn’t and we will do anything in our power to protect you. Wow.
Muslim ban, Muslim registry, torture Muslims, and kill their families. These are ideas espoused by our current President.
