They declined the illegal touching penalty so the reception counted. Technically that was Zaire's best play of the season.
Unfortunately, Kizer must have gotten fucked up on that play. Otherwise, wouldn't you just bring in Zaire to spike the ball and then bring Kizer back on second down? And if Kizer is out next week with a concussion, we're gonna lose to USC by 35 and it might be the mini-scare he needs to convince him to go pro.
If we had a coach who wasn't an outright disaster when it comes to game management, yeah I could see that happening. But for real I think the first targeting fucked him up more than it appeared. Probably best not to leave him in after another one.
Surprised Heistand isn't taking more heat. The offensive line was supposed to be the experienced, solid unit on a young team. Too many penalties, poor shotgun snaps, giving up sacks to teams with no pass rush, and a run game that was far from dependable. The play calling was whacky, but 1st and 15's thin out the play sheet quickly.
Agree with having an issue with procedural penalties and criticizing the lack of toughness in the run game. Kizer has had all day to throw more often than not though. With that said, Bars got beat BAD a few times today.
This isn't so much Groundhog's Day as it is Edge of Tomorrow. ND dies the exact same death every day except the lead has no idea how to stop it. Side note: Edge of Tomorrow is on TNT right now.
This was one of the more impressive losses I've seen this year. Stanford was a pretty good collapse but this one was pretty good.
I feel like we missed a chance to see something special against Miami. Going in for the game winning score after you successfully piss away a yuge lead and you fumble. The Miami player was this close to a scoop and score. Even a simple recovery was game over. That could have been Kelly's Magnum Opus,
At least my sick ass podcast exists. My podcast is the opposite of Kelly. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/matt-shanes-secret-podcast/id1177068388?mt=2
Hey guys, what happened? I was delirious after too much Jameson and spending the second half on the sideline We still suck right?
I encourage you all to watch the replay and find the ravishingly handsome man in a green hat just south of the nd bench. Don't jerk off to hard when you find me.
I remember a wizard saying this was a 4-8 team, can't remember who he was but that poor man got laughed at... :):(
Watched part of the first half before going to a dinner party. I felt pretty good about the game but told my gf that they were going to find a way to lose before heading out. It was 17-7 at this point... I care a whole lot, and I would watch the rest of the game since I recorded it if I had no idea that this game is exactly the same shitshow we've seen for a good while now. I take solace in the fact that it is becoming so clear that this coaching staff is never going to make Nd good to elite again that something has to happen.
I literally can't tell if this ND team is terrible or good or what 11 games into the season and no clue Predict USC going in dry this week
We have some talented players but this is a very very bad team, they fold everytime they are challenged
Just rewatched the game, we are on the short end of these targeting calls a lot...one way or another.
They find ways to lose. They lack killer instincts. They lack a coach who seems to have a good idea of the pulse of his team in games and during prep weeks. Its basically a talented team who flounders.
This is a team that should probably be undefeated and is basically a play away each game from being undefeated. Not that that means anything, the schedule is fucking awful. USC will be by far the best team they have faced. I hope they dumpster us and Swarbrick mans up and dumps kelly
So yesterday was at the same time really fun and sucked. Had friends from home come in for the game (VA tech fans) so despite it being giving cold as shit, I sat thru the whole game, knowing from the get go house it would end. And I had spent the whole week making a whole Thanksgiving dinner. fried Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, the works. We get it to the lots to tailgate, and our generator didn't work, so I can't keep the food warm. Nice thing is I have a whole 16 lb turkey to eat in the next two days. But yeah, shitty weather, cold as fuck, awful football team with a bad head coach. Fun times. At least my va tech friends had fun at the game
Blessing in disguise, at least it is clear that bk is not the guy. Winning this close game could have been a terrible thing for the program. No bowl game is going to finish him and I really hated the idea of going with a 5-7 record. But you can't refuse imo, now it is settled and bk failed big time so there is no reason to keep him. I hope the worst case scenario is Matt rhule and i would be excited with that scenario.
Between this and the hunter no call. Plus the tuitt call and a few others, we are on the short hand of those 90% , bosa is the only one I can recall going our favor(thank god or it would've been a blood bath).
